The project was an extensive full refurbishment including a new basement gym area, cinema room and wine cellar. We also added an Orangery extension and new pool house.
The project consisted of the demolition of an existing storage building and the construction of a gym complex, spa area with living accommodation above. We have installed a ground source heat pump heating system and Solar panels to create a zero-carbon build.
In 2017 work began on a major renovation project which was to include the restoration of the grade II listed Mill House; the conversion of the listed Barn into a 3 bed home; and the development of two luxury riverside homes ‘Windrush’ and “Riversedge’ to the east of the riverbank location.
The development has successfully created 4 family homes whilst retaining all the character still remaining in the watermill ruins when the project commenced. The Royal Institute of British Architects awarded the project a RIBA conservation award in 2018 in recognition of the work carried out.
